American pop-punk legends Blink-182 have announced dates for a five-stop UK tour next year – their first arena tour in over seven years.
The show gets on the road at Manchester’ MEN Arena on July 8 and will climax at the London O2 Arena on July 18.
Five years ago, the band opted for “indefinite hiatus”, when differences of more than just a musical nature put the breaks on any intentions of new album release. It took a tragic event to really bring the group back together when drummer Travis Barker cheated death in a plane crash in September 2008, in which four people died. Since then, Blink have been busy in the studio and plan to release their their sixth studio album in April next year – which as yet is untitled.
The San Diego trio reformed to rock the Reading and Leeds Festivals earlier this year – but this is a rare chance to see the boys headline their own show on British soil.
Tickets are available from Friday (November 26) at 9am.
Blink-182’s 2011 UK arena tour dates are:
Manchester, MEN Arena – July 8
Newcastle, Metro Radio Arena – 12
Nottingham, Trent Arena – 13
Birmingham, LG Arena – 15
London, O2 Arena – 18
