Real name Robert Bartleh Cummings, Rob Zombie is a rock musician and film maker. He founded the heavy metal outfit White Zombie in the mid 1980s and the band went on to have considerable success throughout the nineties, before officially disbanding in 1998.
New York based White Zombie were renowned for their distinct heavy sound and their surreal lyrics, inspired by horror movies and dark imagery. After the commercial success of two double platinum albums, lead singer Rob Zombie went on to achieve more success with his first solo album Hellbilly Deluxe in 1998.
The album sold several million copies worldwide and contained the hit singles “Dragula”, “Living Dead Girl” and “Superbeast”. Zombie then went on to release The Sinister Urge in 2001, featuring singles such as “Never Gonna Stop”, “Demon Speeding” and “Feel So Numb”.
After a five gap in album releases, a third record – Educated Horses – arrived in 2006 containing the singles “Foxy Foxy”, “Let It All Bleed Out” and “American Witch”.
A UK tour in February 2011 was organised in support of Zombie’s fourth album Hellbilly Deluxe 2.
